Laughlin and Bowen, P.C. is a small firm whose founders have substantial experience in all aspects of civil litigation. Founders John R.C. Bowen and Drew A. Laughlin have practiced law together on Hilton Head Island since 1982, and prior to the formation of the firm in 1990. Drew’s area of concentrations have been construction litigation and assisting businesses in transactional and litigation matters, John’s admiralty and maritime matters, and both have extensive experience in handling a broad variety of commercial, corporate, and tort litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants. Both Laughlin and Bowen are certified Civil Mediators, and both have been honored by inclusion in the Martindale Hubble Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers under the Construction and Admiralty sections respectively. Mr. Laughlin has a long history of community and civic involvement, and is currently serving a four year term as Mayor of Hilton Head Island. Mr. Bowen, in addition to many civic and professional activities, is a former U.S. Army Field Artillery Officer
